Error Code 41: The steam servers are too busy to handle your request for Total War Attila
Greetings, whenever i try to start the game with the launcher, after a couple of seconds this error pops up. Does by any chance anybody who reads this thread know how to fix it or are there people with the same problem ?

I also get the error code 41, I have not yet managed to fix it. Someone help?
1. Restart your pc
2. Disable antivirus
3. Right click steam icon and select run as administrator
4. Verify game cache

5. Report back here

Follow the above instructions please. Also, try launching the game in offline mode.
When I get that message, its always the antivirus real time scanning that interfer. I disable it and it works fine. And it always just the initial start up of the game (first time) that affected. So can enable it again afterwards.
Worked for me to just reinstall the game. No idea what causes this.
What do any of these fixes have to do with the steam servers being busy? This makes 2 out of the last 3 games I've purchased have to be reinstalled. It's a wonder why people just get consoles...
I'm running into this myself. Some of the other error codes are related to Avast Antivirus. I'm wondering if Windows Defender might be interfering as well.
I'm getting tired of these errors. I have limited time to play, so I guess I have to play something else. I've rebooted and checked everything mentioned in this thread. I still have the same error.

I want a refund.
i have the same problem and im trying to make it work but i cant!! and i wanna play coh2 :( steam is not much off a helper in this matter.
Right click on name of game in steam, select properties, then local files, then verify integrity of game cache - much quicker than reinstalling and that should fix it (likely just need to download the odd file).
I have done that 100 and it still won't work :-/
If only there was an almost identical game... oh I know! SR3!
If you have Mods delete them all.
