How are supposed to research everything in Vanilla?
WH3 currently won't load so I thought I'd play some Attila, played as WRE and killed Attila& wiped out the Huns within a couple of years of him showing up and then re-conquered everything required for the Imperial Victory.
BUT
I then calculated the remaining turns to 450 A.D and doing the math meant I had about 90 turns to go when I realised this, I'm nowhere near to completing the research tree. It is taking on average 15 turns to research tier 3 topics and when I reach year 450 I don't think i will even be into tier 4 of the research tree.
I have research items on everyone and this boosts research upto about 120% on average across both civ&mil.
I'm assuming you would need to build some imperial libraries at the start of the game which give you a 20% boost but anyone know how many you would need?

I usually build libraries in mid campaign, when my provinces have more slots and when I have good economic situation and stable public order. I'm talking about WRE.

Usually my research speed goes to, at least, 300%. 120% is too slow for late techs.

Yeah, I was wondering how many you build? Is that 10 imperial libraries at 20% each or does it multiply each % on top of the last? because once you disable that tech you can only get 5% per library. So you have to do it early on i suppose, what year do you start?
Although it is weird considering I've completed the game without even unlocking tier 4, only the remnants of Sassinids to finish off, I know there are mods that fix this issue but it seems weird it's still in Vanilla and hasn't been changed.

I build at least 10 imperial libraries.
I start to build them between turn 60 and 100, whenever I have enough food in a province, since one imperial library takes 80 food.

Don't research these techs that disable buildings.
These techs are really bad and makes harder to control squallor, research and mantain public order.
They disable the best buildings for roman factions.
