uh... maybe Vikings aswell?
Last oman def.
dont own last roman
tbh, get which dlc u want on sale anyway, this is CA/SEGA we're on about here.
Note that if you play as Celts you can construct a booley in the agricultural chain. It will produce 150 food regardless of climatic change. If you play as vikings, meager soils and near permafrost forces you to move south for expansion. You can keep your capital, but you're going to need to get some land down south if you want to settle and build much. I like that though, it's historical.
In Dan Carlin's Hardcore History he has mentioned old Roman accounts of the migrating northern tribes migrating in large numbers and even their women screaming into battle, because the survival of the tribe was at stake--there was no place to go back to. I liked playing as the vikings but if you do remember the words to Zepplin's Immigrant Song:
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
On we sweep with threshing oar, Our only goal will be the western shore!
"Out of the mist of history he'll come again.
Sailing on ships across the sea to a wounded nation
Signs of a savior like fire on the water
It's what we prayed for, one of our own
Just wait though wide he may roam
Always, a hero comes home
He goes where no one has gone
But always a hero comes home"
I liked the viking DLC, and I have the Celt DLC but I haven't played enough with it to make any judgements. I also bought the blood DLC when it was on sale but it really is just minor eye candy.
