Joining the empire : the last roman

Ok, so I rebelled against the eastern romans after smashing up the vandals and settling in italy with my 4 stacks. I have now conquered most of Italy and almost wiped out the ostrogoths. It says I can join the roman empire when I get 40 provinces, how does that work?

u stil have to have a 140 troops and have 10000 gold or whatever the money is for one turn that mean u have to make 10000 for turn not save it up

It's not exactly joining my rome, but it's rather re-establishing the Western Roman Empire.

Yeah what are the advantages to that??

you can ask other factions to join your empire and if they accept then you take their lands and you adopt their family into your own faction.

oh its the same effect as a confederation.
