Total War: ATTILA

MacOS version of the game
I have been playing almost all total war games from shogun2 and onwards and i would definitely say it runs great on M2 Pro, and 16GB ram, except this one which is unsupported. Feral interactive has been ported this game on Macs before, but they dont have the support for this title since the 64 bit update. So could CA or someone around the staff reach out for the Feral, and delegate the porting to them? They have done 32bit to 64bit for Empire, Napoleon and Shogun2, and this title needs a little bit more love and and polishing

Apparently you can do it yourself with something referred to as the porting kit. Someone on the Rome II Discussions managed to run the game on a contemporary Mac with this porting kit thing and considers the process dead simple.

I tried that, the performance is abysmal compared to the Warhammer 3 or Pharaoh which runs via Rosetta 2 translator

This game’s performance is generally abysmal, even on the native Windows. Try to go through the well-known optimisation steps and probably use Rosetta rather than the porting kit.
I heard u can play it with the “porting kit”. It really is pretty straight forward no tech savi stuff.
So basically you have to own a total war game that “porting kit” has listed in their games and then you’ll be able to start the download for the windows version of steam. And then this is when I heard u can actually download/buy Total War Attila through the windows version of steam.
I haven’t tried it myself tho. I kinda believe it tho cuz the windows version of steam that “porting kit” gives lets me download mods from literally 2025 on my MacBook lol. (shoutout 1207 Medieval overhaul for TWR2 remastered)
