Can't find Atilla
When I look at the diplomacy screen it says that Atilla is still the faction leader. Does that mean he's still alive, or is 'killing' him supposed to remove him as faction leader too? I've honestly been alt-tabbing during end turns, so I'm not sure if some AI faction killed him enough for him to be 'dead' dead or not... (so I might have missed the announcement) They still have 'war fervour', but Attila is nowhere to be seen (I'd know since I even went as far as to cheat my movement range to make it infinite and check the whole map with a spy)

Edit: It's already been a dozen turns since I last saw him get beaten and multiple stacks were killed in the meantime without him spawning (I also assassinated generals to maybe make him spawn in an already existing stack). I have no clue if the stacks that got killed respawned or not either. There's still about 6+ stacks running around as far as I can see...

If he is still the faction leader then his horde stack is hiding somewhere.

He can´t die until last objectives are done to survive until 450

...Wait what? He can't be killed anymore? You need to last until 450?... I hope you're wrong, because that means the huns have enough time to destroy everything...

Shouldn't the diplomacy screen show the stack he's in though? I've already scouted the whole eastern half of the map and found what seems to be all the hunnic stacks...

Oh well, ♥♥♥♥ it in the end. Due to the 'destroy X factions' condition I'll never get more than minor victory anyways lol.

No way. I killed Attila and he was off the map before 450 A.D.

It could be possible he is wounded right now for a few turns and will resume command of his main stack. You are correct the diplomacy screen shows the faction leader's army's position.

As mentioned in the edit on my main post: It's already been like 10+ turns... I first thought he might indeed be wounded or some other mechanic, but I'm assumed that would only take about max 5 turns or something... even then, more like 2-3 would be balanced. Having 8 hunnic doomstacks running around the map with no opportunity to get rid of them seems kinda meh...

I think if you look on the diplomacy map the location of the hun icon will tell you where the faction leader currently is. You can kill Attila after a certain date but you need to take him out 3 times I think.

Yeah, I know that, the whole problem is that 1. The icon doesn't show where he is, it shows a random horde 2. Atilla is currently not leading a horde 3. I saw an AI army beat him about 10+ turns ago, but am unsure whether that was the third time or not (so my question is: when he gets 'killed' 3 times, does he just go away as general and do the huns get less buffs, or does he truly die and is he not faction leader anymore?)

Nah he dies after the third time, make sure your selected the Huns on the diplomacy screen and look at the actual main icon and that will always be the faction leader. If that is showing a random horde then Attila is already dead.

sorry, it wasn´t exactly 450, i think it was 445, but there is no way to kill him, u can kill "the enemy´s general" in battle but in case of Attila it means that he is ill and returns a few turns later again

Yeah, that's why I'm confused, it shows Attila as faction leader, which I assume means he's alive, but the icon that shows the main horde doesn't show a horde lead by him.

Attila can be faction leader without leading a horde!

Yeah, but I'm wondering whether his stacks still respawn. He's still alive (since he's faction leader) and they still have 0% upkeep buff, so does that mean I have to wait for him to lead a horde to make the constant respawning hunnic armies stop, or can I destroy the stacks permanently even though he isn't really dead?
