Shame they haven't got a version with provinces
True!
This is a real problem. The game is all balanced for the province system. By removing it, it really forces you to build food, public order, sanitation EVERYWHERE
No thanks...regions are big enough as it is and the cities are just madness on the campaign map...
Bad go of it for CA, really.
My worst gripes with this mod is
1) That nearly every unit uses an axe when as an history student we are told and shown why the sword was supreme except in eastern Europe. And even there, most used swords.
2) The England faction is extremely overpowered in the beginning.
3) No sandbox mode
The units and graphics are nice.
By far, the prettiest mod.
They should fix the mod before doing more graphical work.
My biggest gripe is that most units use axes when we know historically that the sword was supreme!
It reality that is nothing more than a modding issue for a modder like myself.
Don't like it, change it.
Easy.
It's a great mod since we cannot get CA to update any of the previous historical games.
Attila's Charlemagne is a perfect platform for any mod from its time period up through the 20th century.
