Why aren't the Huns attacking me? I thought they hate Western Romans. (legendary)

It's 430 AD. Attila has been in power for ten years. The Huns have about ten stacks in Italy just sitting there and raiding. I was building up for a massive fight for my life but literally all the Huns do is sit in northern Italy and raid. At this point (about eight years of this so far) I might just attack them.
Could it be that I am too powerful for even the Huns? I have nine full stacks in Italy with fully walled towns. I have puppets in Gaul, Spain, and Greece. Can the AI be THAT scared of me? This WRE legendary campaign has been too easy so far to the point that I'm bored. (I used the abandon everything except Italy and Africa tactic, and it worked excellently).

I think that the Huns are satisfied that they can raid, cause the WRE Emperor is passiv. Maybe they think, that WRE is too weak to attack them.
Well the Huns aren´t too weak, they reproduce any lost stack within 2 or 3 turns in the steppes up to 18 (via script), until you killed Attila.
Well, you have passed turn 100 so Attila can get mortal. Fight the invaders. I always fought them when they entered Italy, cause in my empires it was forbidden to enter Italy without permission.
PS: it needs 3 up to about 5 victories against Attila´s army that he gets mortal.

yeah that makes sense, ive been fairly passive and i think its time to break some hunnic skulls, at the very least for the fun

The minor victory condition requires 80 settlements controlling. So the player cannot turtle to the end.

you have to mod it so the huns expand and occupy settlements not just raiding.

UPDATE: thanks for the input yall; i got bored and so I attacked them. Killed Attila for the first time already. So far I've lost one battle and won three autoresolve stackwipes. its going a little too easy so im still bored, but ill finish the campaign at some point

Hun like any aggressive AI is highly fickle, let alone if you baby sat the territory they were raiding with an army they are chickens, since their highly opportunistic and want cheap/easy victories to raze undefended regions.

As the Huns don't need any settlement because they can't settle, it's quite logical that the Huns are satisfied with free money by raiding.
