Report a translation problem
You can change your capital by abandoning it. However, if you re-take that city (in your case Mediolanum) in the future it will become your capital once again.
I've suffered this issue with other factions, and it really sucks.
Not really. Makes sense that the Romans for example would prefer their historical capitals.
Barbarians should just make sure that their first cities are good ones.
I had a thread, and screenshots some pages back where I was the Franks and ran into this issue firsthand.
I left Flevum - went into migration; and subsequently took all of Britannia.
Once I had secured Britannia, I went to retake Flevum, as a landing point for ventures into Europe.
However, once I had rebuilt the city - and port (it did not revert to my capital until the dock was rebuilt), Flevum then reverted to my capital. It's also been known since the early days of this game, when CA was live streaming it.
