How to defeat the huns
I haven't played this game for years, and am trying to play as the WRE. Since I can't remember anything about Hun-fighting, and for some reason the internet seems pretty thin on what to do (apart from spamming agents - something I remember picking up in R2) I have a few qs on what to do with them:
- As your frontline, do you use Legio Comitatenses or Armigeri Defensores, or even Western Auxilia Palatini?
- When you unlock Herculiani Seniores and Cornuri Seniores, which do you use as a frontline?
- I've read in a few places that balistarii are the best missile units when fighting Huns, but the fact that their range is much shorter than missile cav means they seem to get outgunned pretty fast.
- How does friendly fire work? I understand that it exists but haven't actually found a coherent explanation yet. You shouldn't put missiles behind melee infantry bcos friendly fire, but that may or may not apply only when the infantry is engaged in combat?
- Several people have recommended usage of onagers, but past usage seems to show that they are too inaccurate to hit fastmoving cav. How do you use onagers? Are small onagers more accurate than large ones?

big onagers are OP against all kinds of enemys both inf and cav kinda the same with small onagers but the main reason you want them in the army is because it will make the enemy attack you witch is far better and easier then charging the huns. Crossbows are goodlike ok! They are the main dps for WRE and should be in every army that you field. Matiarii and other spear throwers are also great at killing all kinda of stuff but they are kinda hard to use (atleast i think so) And against Huns i usally have 4-6 Western Auxilia Palatina, 2-4 Cornuti Seniores for swords inf it usally depends on how quickly i need the army or how much money i can use
