Installation issues from hard copy
I picked up a copy of Attila on sale, put the disc in and I can't find an .exe file. There's no autorun, just a list of .csm and .csd files, a .sis file plus the icon and a text file. I've tried everything I can think of, hoping someone here might have a solution. This is on Windows 10, I'm guessing that probably matters. Thanks!

When you put the CD in, their should be a small prompt at lower right corner, click on it before it disappears, auto run option is there. Or go to File Explorer, This PC, and right click on your dvd drive to see if there is an auto run option there.

Yeah, there's no prompt, and when I go into the file autoplay the disc drive it asks me what I want to do with the pictures and won't give me any realistc options.

To put it simply, I know how to install a game from a disc, i'm an idiot but not a complete moron. I'm coming here for help because nothing is normal with this, there's no prompt, no .exe, no way to autoplay the disc from the drive. That ♥♥♥♥ cannot be done with basic computer know how.

Just did a search of Attila CD's, only Speical edition, Tyrants and Kings, and plain Attila UK edition came up. Is yours any of those? Did your country actually released physical copies? Most sellers are only selling CD Keys in that search.

Plain vanilla, no DLC, three discs, tried all three. This is in Australia. DVD reader region is correct. I've sent an email to SEGA support so hopefully they come through. I appreciate the effort though.

If you have the CD key in the case, or on a sales receipt, you could enter that into Steam by using the "activate a product on Steam" menu, then just download it.

Even if you get the disk to work, Steam will download most of the files anyway. I had the Attila DVD and it only got through disc 1 before prompting me to confirm the download: I never was prompted to put in the remaining two discs, and they never did anything when I put them in either.

So if you got to download like 20 gigs anyway, might as well just do the whole install by download.

I completely forgot about that, sounds like it'll work. Cheers!

Activating the product via Steam worked, thanks heaps. I'd never used it before, will keep it in mind.
Sure thing.
