forced march?
long time player here..but ive taken a hiatus since warhammer came out..anyway im starting up as Himyar and im noticing that when i put my armies in forced march they dont seem to be able to move any further? even if i move full distance then switch to forced march i still dont get any extra movement... am i missing something or am i too used to warhammer and it showing you the distance?

It shouldn't be like that. Do you have any mods?

it shows you the distance if you wait long enough. or it should. should only take a couple seconds. or i think i you hold down the right mouse button when trying to move them it should show you the path and how far they will go but you will have to let go over the army you are trying to move so it doesnt move you

I've found if you have any household, skills, technology or traits, that increase your marching distance it seems to then match - perhaps even, outpace your ability to force march.

Did you try it after beach landing/debarking, or crossing a river? Those situations deplete all your movement points even with forced march.

Also, just recently completed the campaign as Himyar, so I know what you're talking about; you select forced march expecting to get a little farther (make it somewhere in 2 turns, not three, or make it back to a settlement) but alas no movement allottment increase occurs.

Man, that is an op trait if I've heard one!

The Commander-In-Chief general skill gives you 20% more movement point, which all Desert and Eastern generals has, and the easiest to get out of all cultural groups. Barbarians(Germanic, Norse, Celts and Slavs), have Great Migrators army skill that increase 20% at max. Vanguard general skill for Romans and Huns, at different location. Also military tech tier bonus also increase movement range for all except Romans. But I think these increase shouldn't prevent you getting the Forced March distance bonus.

There is also some Household items increase movement range, at least for Barbarians, I haven't played any other culture groups.

At least for vanilla. If you are playing a mod or have lingering mod files that changed these things, maybe that affected the increase.

Forced march is innovation for innovation's sake.

Lol it definitely was in Rome 2.

I think they implemented it pretty well in Attila though.
