What Viking themed mechanics and flavor are you looking for? Since the "viking" DLC is not vikings, it's the forefathers. The "vikings" of later era went to Britain to kill their ancestor relatives.
Thanks for explaining that this is an early Viking period and not about the raids in later history that targeted the Christian Church etc, which is what I was thinking this would be.
I purchased the game anyways and the Viking DLC.
BTW, Do you know of any mods that would enable a campaign based, later on, Viking raids along the British coastline with a greedy eye placed firmly on the wealthy Christian Church?
Cheers :)
Play as Danes or the other pagan and raid Britain, if it's good for your. Or wait for Viking Invasion 2. I don't play overhaul mods so I have no recommandations.

Edit: oh wow, only 50%? They lowered the discount due to new content. There were 75% off for most DLCs for 2 years.
Don't think there is any bugs in the viking forefathers dlc either.
And a massively expanded campaign gameplay, something along the lines of CKII :)
It's basically TW: Saga available right now for free :P
Saga is just a parallel set of titles: the next, full historical title is still TBA, but they are in development on it as we speak.
Pretty sure it won't be medieval though: I'm thinking Baroque period, but with late medieval DLC to come, like War of the Roses or Italian Wars.
I wouldn't be surprised if a further Saga iteration covers the Norman invasion/High Middle Age though.
