its 410 ad and i am tired of this POS huns spamming
Its 410 AD, i play as western roman and I spent my entire time destroying hunnic hordes so far.
I destroyed 10 ♥♥♥♥ing hunnic hordes (mostly in Pannonia and around) and now its 410AD and another 4 or 5 hunnic hordes show up out of nowhere from poland and in two seasons only they can attack Savaria in Pannonia Province, WHY DO THEY HAVE SO MANY HORDES ?? HOW DO THE AI MANAGE TO HAVE THE POPULATION AND MONEY TO DUPLICATE SO MANY ???

to make things stupidier, the huns are only at war with me ofc and my militry allies are ♥♥♥♥ing useless, Dacia seems to be stuck in greece with a rebel city with -140 public order but still raiding the place, macedonians are actually in attic and peloponnese archipelago and do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I destroyed the franks but the longbeards and other nordic factions are doing nothing but watching the huns passing by and the guaramantians in north africa are going wild and broke trade agreement with me so i had to put 2 armies in Lepis Magna just in case

Western Roman Empire wackshit factions ♥♥♥♥♥♥ theodosuck and its ♥♥♥♥♥♥ honorius birds ♥♥♥♥er

edit

Is the game this broken ??? the strangest thing is no matter how many I destroyed hordes, the huns are always keeping their strength ranking at 4, sometimes 5, 6 or 13 ( I beat the♥♥♥♥♥♥out of them to be ranked 13th, period) then all of a sudden they come back 4 th place

You have to kill Attila himself 3 times. After that they become a normal faction.

you can get the weaker huns mod, it helps because the huns aren't a challenge but more like a pest as they can spawn anywhere (like in the middle of the sea)

Mods with the explicit purpose of making the games easier... and I thought Radius was bad.
just ally with the huns until about AD420. Then stab the huns in the back. This timing is because Attilla then becomes of age, and goes on the board, which then allows you to start the process of killing him 3 times. Actually, the huns are "immortal" until Attila can be killed off, hence until Attilla can be killed there is nothing productive you can do by fighting the huns. Versus other factions you can kill armies, take over cities, i.e. slowly make progress. With the huns sometimes by fighting them you get reverse progress; until Attilla dies not only do the hordes re-spawn, with the AI using cheat money to do it, but also the AI will build anew with uptodate advanced hun units. If you don't kill off hordes, the hordes may consist of hun untis built before hun military tech advances, i.e. weaker units than re-spawned units. If you aren't going to make any progress in the game fighting the huns, it is useless trying to fight them before Attilla appears. When that happens all you need to do to make progress is to kill Attila multiple times, then the hordes disperse rather than re-spawn when you defeat each horde one by one. How to ally with the huns ? : 1) give them money, 2) marriage alliances, or 3) always make some of your attacks be against factions the huns dislike (doesn't have to be all your wars, but most of the time some of your attacks should be directed against enemies of the huns). Yes, in the beginning allying with the huns will cost a lot of money, but later as you get stronger you can save your money and instead use attacks against hun enemies rather than tribute. (Playing as either roman empire using this strategy you eventually will have to break your alliance with the other roman faction in order to keep the alliance with the huns; but if you have reached AD 410-415 and maintained the hun alliance, this may be convenient. Attacking the other roman faction will usually keep you in good graces with the huns without further tribute payments. I have done a hybrid strategy of initially ally with the huns, but only break with the huns in order to stand by the other roman faction as an ally. this worked for me too, but the full allaince with the huns til AD 420 I found to be exceptionally easy to play). Best of all, this is partially historically accurate: in hisory the Eastern Roman Empire often did pay the huns tribute to get them to attack one of the ERE enemies, so paying tribute to the huns in the game is not totally anti-historical.

the huns were preparing to invade eastern rome in 453 AD (because Marcian didnt pay tribute while Atilla was invading gaul and italy), but Atilla bled to death after a night of partying and his empire soon collapsed due to revolts.
