Lombards, Age of Charlemagne

Just started a campaign as Lombards, my first time with AoC. How do you tackle sanitation in AoC (as Lombards)? I checked the building browser and found no wells or anything else that would improve santitation.

The christians have a building that you can build in cities if you have an upgraded church (munster?) there. It gives sanitation to that province and also the surrounding provinces.

Thanks, found it. But long time before I can build one, is there anything I can do to get rid of disease in settlements?

If you can't get any sanitation to that province, in time that disease will pass from settlement, though it might just jump in to other settlements.

As Lombards, I cannot build any sanitation for maybe 100 next turns. The disease spreads to 1 settlement per turn it seems, in about 4 turns ALL my settlements have disease in it. So of course I did the only possible thing: I ditched this piece of crap DLC for good, so no more advice needed.
