So get some moderately armored Axes and go to town.
Do you mean like mercenary axes? It seems the Huns sucked them all up, ill have to send a legion to germania or maxima sequanorum. By the way, how many times do you have to kill Atilla? I managed to smoosh him with a flaming onager shot but he is still kicking.
For WRE you probably want a Palatina or better or anything with a shield wall. They will do more damage than your spears. So get classic and form an infantry line with ballistarii just doing all the work Equites Promoti or even Catafractii though I tend to avoid shock cavalry but they have staying power.

my cavalry go for a long flanking move to attack any hun siege engines and hun archers!
I lost about 35% of my men and won the battle.against 3 Hun Armies.
Excellent work! I guess I will have to retool my strategy and legion composition. Thanks for the share.

They used some swordsmen and spears to fight against my strategy so I’ve lost so many battles after this and decided to start all over again learning from my mistakes and now I’ve finally managed to deal with huns by making a defensive alliance 😂💔
Or you can try fighting fire with fire and have elite cavalry that have a good attack against other cavs (for me it’s taifali cavalry) or horse skirmishers like germanic raiders
