Every rebel army is a Roman army with advanced tech.... -.-
This is a stupid and unrealistic feature of this game that i dislike, the rebellions somehow magically turn into a fully armed and armoured roman army, complete all with swords, shields and full chainmail, once more, they magically learnt how to build Onagers... but your civ hasnt even researched them yet... i can't believe they didn't think this feature through better. Granted most of the time the rebels are easy to defeat but often the AI doesnt combat them, so when you invade you are faced with 2 or 3 full stack high tier roman armies. It seems a little ridiclous don't you think? Are we supposed to believe that Rome has trained and armed every single rebel in Europe?

I propose a much better way of doing it would be to have seperate units for rebels, this makes sense as they were more of a armed mob than a professional standing army... this units can have reduced stats and reduced morale to reflect that they are literally just a bunch of guys with torches and pitchforks.

Because a solid half of the map is Roman territory and so when they rebel of course they use roman type units. I personally like this. Roman units really aren't that good comparative to the anti-armor power of the barbarians.

Just deal with it and either defeat the rebels early or leave them for later/another faction to deal with.
