Stupid Maferil Orb Puzzle (possible spoiler)

This thing is stupid I got all the lights to go out and got attacked now theres no way to reset it and the stupid save system wont allow me to go back without starting the whole level from scratch.
Yes I read the earlier post on this and followed the link to solve it but hey which way is up, which way is down. If you are putting a puzzle in a game please give us a clue as to what we are supposed to do, not everyone is telepathic you know.
Rant over. I'm now stuck here what am I supposed to do?

Its a mechanical puzzle ... just try to solve it. No tips needed just patience. And i know this because this kind of stupid puzzle has me frustrated for 15 min in every game i encounter it xD

Edit: You need to fight those enemy later on anyway since you want the drops for teh special weapons (sunblade i think).

Thanks for the encouragement Almut you're dead right about these puzzles being in every game, one that comes to mind is the stupid bridge puzzle in DAO.
I have just seen a video on you tube on how to solve this puzzle but the initial light setup was different to what I had so I am assuming that its different every time. Any way it does actually tell you what you have to do heres the link if anyone wants to look

I'm going to give it another try now I have calmed down abit but I,ll say this to any devs reading please give us a clue at least so at least we know what we are aiming for.
