Blacksmith Info?

i do realise that the game is still relativly new, and that a lot of people are still in the first 1/4 of the story. A couple of things i am paranoid about which make me not want to continue. Ive been burned in other games by being locked out of areas after a certain duration, also losing the oppertunity to make items beacuse i have missed something. My other concern is three out of the 4 items i have crafted from the blacksmith were either not usable by me when i thought they might be (sword. what kind of sword? oh a shortsword, awsome but useless), or by the point i got them i already had gear better.

I guess what im asking is, has anyone seen or have been working on a blacksmith guide of sorts. im not as focused on the weapons specific stats (though i wouldnt mind ) but as a paranoid completionist that likes rare loot, id like to know that the awsome item im wanting to make will be usuable and i wont lose all of my money on a gamble of sorts. 30,000 -> 4500 Sell Rate hurts.

Thanks for reading. Cespinar the Imp was by far one of the best npc's of this type in a game, here's to hoping this blacksmith will be as rewarding.

thats good to know, seems like they planned this out and didnt just throw it in for nostalgia. hoping that once i make it underground i wont be locked out of the previous area for a while. maybe there is a blacksmith down there also.

Here are a couple of items that I have found. Both of them are for 30,000. The Bow of hungering is actually mentioned as the end product, and the staff is referred to as something that has "explosive potential." So I am 95% sure that its the correct staff since I didnt want it and choosing not to make it.

I know this is from a few months ago, but the lack of consolidated blacksmith recipe lists and the numerous missing or incomplete entries have inspired me to go on a scavenger hunt and to try to do a thorough blacksmith recipe list. It's still a work in progress, but I'm tagging Drykal (the name of the blacksmith) with a list of all the things he can make, and am also making sure to tag all of the entries already made from blacksmith recipes that route them to his page. (I haven't yet figured out how to make the wikia itself reroute "Blacksmith" to the "Drykal" page, but I did figure out how to make it say one thing, and go to another :D I would encourage anyone who knows how to update/tweak the list itself, and any entries involved as best as they are able, or if they don't know how, get in touch with me. I'm making it a personal mission :)

Random Underdark encounter. Traveling between locations in the Underdark has a chance to spawn a "Waylaid" encounter featuring two ogres. Inside the zone will be an entrance to a "Mysterious Cave." Kill the two Oni and the Elite Ogre inside. Chest will contain Staff of Power.

Marked Axe
80% move speed axe! Found in Gracklstugh in chests with two arguing derro who try to play a game with you
