Max HP on level up?
I get that in the table top you have to roll for HP when you level up, but they really decided to keep this rule when they threw so much of the table top stuff out the window? Is there an option somewhere to automatically get max HP when you level up?

5th edition rules is the average hit die rounded up, 1d6 4 + con mod, 1d8, 5 + con, 1d10, 6 + con, 1d12 7 + con.

I thought we already get max HP on level up

Does *anyone* still use that archaic rule in (tabletop) D&D 5e? I bet that very few DMs require you to roll hit points or ability scores and use average hit points per level (+CON modifier) and point-buy or the "standard array" for ability scores.
My DM requires me to roll for HP... :-(

my DM allows rolls only (rerolls if you roll a 1 though), but rulebook does say that you can take the average dice role and +2 for your hp haha

I've always rolled for hitpoints in tabletop RPGs such as Pathfinder and D&D.

If I were still running campaigns you'd be rolling 3d6 (none of this 4d6 or point buy garbage) for ability scores and rolling for HP.
