Final battle, decisions, possibilites [spoiler]

So i finished the capaign once with a paladin as main and since that elven woman (sorry i cant remember those names) is the only real healing mashine in the game, i didnt manage to finish it with cleaning the tear of Sehanine. I tried but then with the healer gone i failed the last battle so i destroyed the tear in the second attempt and finished it.

Is it even possible to do the last fight with 3 chars only and without a healer? Anyone managed that?

Losing your healer without notice can really suck. I recommend trying it with Javen. A Paladin can sometimes bridge the gap between warrior and cleric pretty dang well. You did get Javen, didn't you? (suppose you could have killed him...)

Keeped him, even without knowing he is a possible companion at that moment, was a surprise ^^

Perhaps it would be a good idea to patch the main campaign in the way that..after that Sehainin cleric fusioned with the tear..the player gets a chance to invite another companion into the group.

I did the final battle on hard without a healer... potions are your friends.

Yes, I finished the final battle. My party composion was human fighter (main character), dwarven rogue, human necromancer, and elven cleric (cleansing the item). My wizard summoned stuff.

Well i tried it with potions (at the attempt with cleaned the tear), the mutated drow alone was no problem, but those summoned things simply did to much damage. Perhaps i could have make with enough attempts..but was at the end of a long played through night so i lacked the patience.

Perhaps if i hadnt put so much ability points into wisdom to stand the illithids mind tricks ..but then i wouldnt have reached this far...uhm..

my dwarf npc fighter just stunned the boss with her shount and it died before it got out of the stun.. was kinda dissapointing but also a relief since i didnt think there would be a second phase after "destroying" the artefakt so i was not well prepared loosing my healer :O

I did the entire campaign on hard without a cleric. Just had my main character paladin do the healing.

so you loose your healer before the finale boss? dude that totally sucks!!! What elemental damage is in the boss fight?
