Rapier VS Short Sword VS Dagger
Hi,

I started the game with a rogue + dual wield finesse weapon.
I wonder what is the purpose of the different finesse weapons.

Dagger, short sword, rapier.
They are all piercing, and they all seem to have the same attack speed (unless I am wrong, in that case sorry about it).
So I just picked dual rapier, since it has better damage.
So what is the point of daggers and short swords ?
They are light, but rapiers are not.
Does it even make a difference ? do you have a penalty with dual wield rapiers ?
The game does not tell you...

Maybe I could pick a scimetar in the off hand, to have both piercing and slashing damage, but I don't know if it is worse a talent point.

If there are no differences and short swords are just better than daggers, and Rapiers just better than both, then the balance is terrible.
Well it just means there is just no balance in mind.

Thx for help

The only difference is damage and "light" doesn't mean anything because there are no dual wielding penalties.

Ok thx.

So no reason at all to use Short Sword or Dagger over Rapier then, this is really stupid.
Too bad Larethar looks strange with Rapier, Short swords or even daggers fit a dwarf better.

So you'll equip a short sword or a dagger only if it has bonuses that makes it better than a rapier...untill you have a deadlier rapier with better bonuses.
