I played through Baldurs Gate (the new one) and most of the way through 2.
I played through much of Neverwinter Nights though admittedly with mods and I always end up back in infinite dungeons. And then Cyberpunk 2077 dropped which took all of my attention...
And now I'm most of the way back through this. This is still a game worth playing. It is sad that they folded.
Still arguably my favorite one is Neverwinter Nights 2 with all the expansions and the Kaedrin character mods. I'll probably give that one a good cleaning and reinstall it with the current working mods for the next run.
Neverwinter Nights 2?
Eh...what have i missed?
When did that come out?
2006. And yeah I actually had to look it up or I would have guessed 2005.
That said, I did enjoy D:OS 2, and am hoping Larian does an excellent job on BG3. I am avoiding it until they release an official final version. Don't want to spoil it by playing a buggy game.
And, regarding SCL, even though the actual gameplay was a radical divergence from actual D&D style games (such and NWN), it was still stupidly fun to play. The biggest let down of it was that the multiplayer functionality was tied to steam, and they never implemented any form of direct connect via LAN (at the very least).
Let me check out this "Solasta".
I Have been hoping for the "Ulimate" D&D game for a looooong time, ever since the original gold and silver boxes.
Neverwinter Nights closest yet imho.
Its awesome
Looks awesome added to list.
And in some ways better
