You can tell the game's a really high level production when the original developer spared no expenses and brought onboard some of the seiyuu industry's top veterans, like Hisakawa Aya, Yokoyama Chisa, Okiayu Ryōtarō, Midorikawa Hikaru, and of course the legendary Hayashibara Megumi (It's no mere coincidence that she ended up voicing another Lina Inverse-like magician girl with a penchant for money) Plus, Yokoyama's rendition of the ending song is every bit as good as Jenny's, what with her being one of the leading members of the Sakura Taisen stage show.

All in all, it's shaping up to be a good time, can't wait.

Don't forget Rokuro Naya (L2 Ghaleon in every version, he also voiced L1 Ghaleon on SCD only). But agreed, the Japanese cast is quite good.

I hope for the Japanese version, they have FMV subtitles. Grandia II on Steam's cutscenes lacked this, rendering the Japanese audio option meaningless.

While FMV subtitles aren't impossible to do, it all depends on how much work the localizer is willing put in for the sake of accessibility, such as putting in subtitles to cater the hearing impaired, or they might just feel it's a waste of time and assume anyone that listens in Japanese would understand the language to begin with.

There's no excuse for not subtitling FMV that's in a foreign language for the target demographic. Thankfully, the latest press release confirms that there will be subtitles, in general. So I THINK that means that the FMV will have subtitles.

Never meaningless to have vocals that just SOUND better than the rest. Even if you don't know what they're saying, it's audibly pleasing to hear versus the other options. Subtitles would be nice, but are never a requirement to enjoy a good vocal cast.

Subtitles are confirmed anyway, otherwise people playing in French or German would be screwed during FMVs and some spoken parts without dialogue boxes.

If I use the Japanese dub will it use a different script than the english dub?
