$50 really?
I'd want to pick this up but $50 is insane. Hard pass until there is a good sale. I'm getting tired of these overpriced remasters.

50 for two games is fine. I picked this one up right away and so far I am loving the remaster. If you can't afford 50 bucks feel free to wait till it comes out on sale but keep in mind they did put work into this to update them to work on new systems and with a PC.

I was just curious as to your thought process.

How is 50 bucks for 50-80+ hrs of game/s insane?

You drop that amount on a movie for 2 and snacks...
And the same people will defend the re-release of games like TLOU2 for 60 to 70 dollars just fine lol
50 hours with half of it grinding lol

It’s 2 games and I believe they are both pretty lengthy. I mean if I bought…. crap what are those goofy kids playing nowadays…. “Super Mario Brothers 1”.
The cost-per-hour for a good rpg vs a typical shooter or platformer is not even close. Unless the games are shorter than I recall should be an amazing deal.
Actually I haven’t been to a movie theatre in a LONG time- I’d imagine you could get near 50 bucks for tickets/popcorn/2-cb/the meal/snacks you snuck in. And that’s like 2-3 hours.

Yeah. I'm gonna get this... but I definitely won't be paying $50 for it.

If you have to grind either game, like, at all, that's what we call a skill issue.

I bought it and have enjoyed it so far, but man it is not worth the price. Likely going to refund and buy on sale. $50 for two 30 year old games with bare minimum remasters just ain't it. Money better spent on the oblivion remaster.

Agreed. The price is reasonable and the reason for that is that most individuals here were either not born or too young too remember that the Original PlayStation remake called Lunar Silver Star Story Complete retailed at around 70 dollars. Mind you this was in 1999, and it was for one game, but also keep in mind that this game was also a remake of a 1992 JRPG that released on the Sega Mega-CD and later on in 1993 in the west. Two years after Silver Star Story Complete, we got its sequel, and it was also around the 70 dollar mark. So total for both at that time it was 140 dollars, and hard to find. Lets also note that nowadays those boxed sets, which did have a lot of cool little extras, run in the hundreds of the dollars. So they were far more expensive than that back in 99. Also I know some one will come in and say, "Oh that was almost thirty years ago, it does not count." It does count, because the price of games have always fluctuated from fifty dollars to even a hundred. We are even going to get games that are eighty dollars these days, so the complaints about this are unwarranted and proves that most who comment on this topic, have no idea what they are talking about, as which is often true on the interwebs.
