Community multiplayer planet
We've set up a planet that anyone can connect to here: 168.235.71.183

Be sure to grab the latest build from Steam before you connect. This server is running version 0.1.1.1.

We're still in the testing phase with multiplayer, so don't expect it to be super stable (though I hope it is!). If it goes down, I'll do my best to keep an eye on it and restart it. Feel free to post here in the forums too if you can't connect, since I might see that sooner.

Can not connect. No error given just returns me to the embarcation screen. Do I need a port number?

I need to update the version of Metaverse on the dedicated server. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow morning :)

It took me a while, but I managed to update the dedicated server build to 0.2.0.1 and get it up and running. It's online at 168.235.71.183.
nice to see you guys are still working on the game it looks very nice its a bit laggy though hope ur working to remedy that
you should be able to reach my planet at 10.0.0.1
I don't think anybody will be able to reach you at that IP address. 10.*.*.* is not routable to the public.
that is my gateway so should work
how do you get the option of multiplayer i don,t see anywhere i can connect on the mainscreen no multiplay option

You can get to it by going to the LAIR elevator (press B to go to the LAIR). Once there, make sure you're on the Embarkation level, and then the elevator controls should show an option to connect to a planet. You can enter the IP address of the server there.
i enter the ip but nothing happens almost idicates an error but i see no error just no connection

It could be that the community server went offline and needs to be restarted. I'll check it here in a bit.
