What engine will Shadow Warrior 2 be running?
Is it a licensed engine such as Unreal Engine 4, or perhaps in house made engine?

Its a in-house engine. Not sure what it's called. If you are worried on performance and optimization you might want to check the pinned

Oh hell no, I'm not worried about the engine, especially after seeing SW1 and Hard Reset Redux. Im just wondering what technological prowess they might be boasting.

Road Hog engine. It's their own in-house tech. Hard Reset looks amazing given it's age.

Just like Ivar wrote, SW2 is using our in-house engine.

Interesting, this being clearly a great engine, what sort of technological limitations do you have on this engine?

I think the question should also be "What is this engine capable of/designed to do?"

I'd personally LOVE to see the return of gravity ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in games ala SSFE/SE and Prey.

They probably won't know for sure till they find it. Engine is probably fitted for seamless coop FPS gameplay on relatively big maps and anything outside that scope will probably start going in the "less polished" direction. I assume that you always tailor the engine towards what you need it to do in terms of core functionality of targeted game and everything else just has to work one way or another.

Shame there is no Hard Reset 2 though D: .
HR2 taking the Shadow Warrior 2 approach would be interesting.

It does say on their website that the engine is created with PC in mind first, so that's a plus.
