Broken on Linux

Crashes to Desktop as soon as the game starts on Ubuntu 14.04.

I didn't see anything in the console that would be useful.

Does anyone have this thing working on Linux?

Same. Debian stretch, both with the x86 and x86_64 binaries. Recent mesa drivers on an AMD card.

Because English is not my primary locale on my Linux I get a small glimpse of the starting program by adding "LANG=C %command%" as start option.
[RMB] "Properties" -> "Set launch options"
– But the game still crashes during the startup.

I have a fix if you own The Forest of Doom

1. Right Click on The Forest of Doom in steam and select Properties
2. Select the LOCAL FILES tab and click on BROWSE LOCAL FILES...
3. After the file manager pops up go into the "The Forest of Doom_Data" directory
4. Select both the Mono and Plugins directories, right click and select Copy
5. Right Click on Caverns of the Snow Witch in steam and select Properties
6. Select the LOCAL FILES tab and click on BROWSE LOCAL FILES...
7. After the file manager pops up go into the "Caverns of the Snow Witch_Data" directory
8. Paste the Mono and Plugins folders into this directory over write everything
9. Run Caverns of the Snow Witch
