I have played many of the old Lego games on my modern PC (including this one) which is an i7 8700, 16GB RAM and an RTX 2080 which is still a pretty high end graphics card.
The game runs flawlessly on my PC.
From what I have seen the Sims 3 can really only fry a graphics card for a really outdated laptop. So if you have a decent - modern PC or Laptop you should be fine with the Sims 3. You will also be fine with Lego Star Wars, as this game is way less demanding than the Sims 3. If you have a PC with older parts and you are really that worried, then play the game in the older graphics mode and play in a lower resolution.
seems like a stupid question to me
