Bought Far Cry 4 on Steam and literally can't play the game because Ubisoft Connect says there's an ownership authentication error.

I've contacted Ubisoft Support multiple times and gave them my proof of purchase, Steam ID, screenshots, launcher logs, account information, and every email I could possibly have used. I followed every troubleshooting step they gave me.

Their answer? “The game is activated on another account.”
Then when I ask which account, they say they can't find any account that owns the game.

So apparently I paid for a game, Steam says I own it, Ubisoft can't find where the activation went, and nobody wants to actually fix the problem.

This whole situation is ridiculous. At this point it genuinely feels like I'm being charged for a product Ubisoft refuses to provide access to.

Honestly, I hope Valve seriously considers whether companies should be allowed to keep selling games on Steam when their mandatory DRM can leave customers with an unplayable product and support won't resolve it

Far Cay 4 is undoubtedly an excellent game with rich open-world design and engaging mechanics.
However,as someone highly susceptible to motion sickness in FPS games,I had to quit after just 1.9 hours
due to extreme dizziness and nausea.
Unlike Halo :Infinite or Metroid Prime 4(which I completed comfortably),this game offers no effective
solutions foe motion sickness:
No FOV slider adjustment
No option to disable head bobbing or motion blur
Intense camera shake during driving/combat
Since I could not experience enough to judge its full content ,this isn't a rating of the game's quality---it's a warning:DO NOT buy this if you are prone to 3D motion sickness. Save your money for titles with better
accessibility.

might get a mob after me but i much prefer far cry 4 over 3. pagan min is a very interesting character and i often think of him when writing characters in my own works. the world is beautiful and so are the graphics considering a 2014 release. the gameplay is fun and silly, in a good way. i tried to play far cry 5 a few times and it never clicked with me, it felt like a watered down experience than this. pick it up on sale !
