Confused about routes and endings

Okay, this is probably a dumb question to raise, but I seem to have just finished my first route and I have no idea what happened. I was already familiar with Clannad through the anime so I basically knew the score, I just wanted to do my first playthrough on instinct and then after that was over, get to actively choosing each route in turn to complete them all. I appeared to have been on the Fuko route, and while playing, the game suddenly ported me back to the main menu, suggesting I'd finished the route, but it was strange because I didn't get an orb of light, and I also don't seem to have an ending achievement for Fuko. Also, when I looked up the choices you have to make for the Fuko endings, my playthrough didn't even reach some of the choices, so it seemed I didn't actually get to an ending... or does it mean I got the unsuccessful ending? I'm really confused! I've seen the walkthroughs that just list the choices you have to make for each person, but are there any walkthroughs that expand on that a bit more so I can figure out what happened? I actually don't mind spoilers too much - I already know I'm gonna play the crap out of this VN no matter what, so don't worry if what you guide me to has a few spoilers in it. I won't spoiler anyone else with it, promise.

Fuko's route has no orb, but yes, it was an unsuccessful ending.

I don't think there is more detailed walkthroughs. You just have to make all the necessary choices. Even if you fail just one of them, you'll not get that ending.

That's okay, thank you for the link! I just stayed up late to make another choice in an earlier save and got Fuko's B ending, although I still don't think I got an orb so I might have to play her route a third time to get the orb. Troublesome, but heck, I love Clannad so I'll do it!

As I already said, Fuko has no orb. You can spend an orb for Fuko, but you can't get any orbs from her route.
