That's curious, I never watched the anime cause I tend to like to read/watch the original medium first, I waited years for the english patch to get better. This was an 80 hour novel, so how Kyou was less developed I don't really understand. I'm saving Tomoyo's route for last, since I assume she's the most popular due to Tomoyo After (the fandisk, which, unless censored will never be seen on steam).
Kyou's Route is good, not my favourite though. Also I completely agree with your spoiler Painful to go out with Ryou . But you may be satisfied later on. Kinda hard to say why though without big spoilers. Hope you enjoy the rest of the game :)
Yeah Kappei's route was actually really good, and I wasn't expecting it to be. I do read relatively fast, I'm at ~ 50 hours with just Fuko, Mei, Tomoyo and Afterstory. Maybe I'll speed through Ryou's route just so I know.
EDIT:I meant Kyou's route, sorry
oh wait, your achieves say you've done kyou's route, not ryou's... ryou's is a lot easier to get through emotionally.
Maybe because Kyou barely appears on her own route...
ugh... I remember one of the bad ends I got, Ryou totally could have gone yandere on us there
*shudders* .
