I don't even know how to explain because nothing has happened. I guess the last 3 "plot" points were:
Tomoya felt up Tomoyo's boobs, Sunohara was trying to get the Fillit of Fish sandwich, Tomoya and Furukawa made club fliers.
I tend to really like visual novels, I just expect by the 3-4 hour mark to start getting a feeling for whats going on. But so far it's just... school and tropes. Does it actually have a plot or is it just slice of life?
I mean your options are stop playing it right now or finish one route then decide... even one route is still pretty long.
Ah okay how long would you estimate one route is then?
Maybe this VN (story) just isn't for you.
Personally I quite like the slice of life & humor slapped into it but if you're not intho those 2 things the VN might get pretty boring.
And it's the same for the anime really. Like the first half of the first season is mostly humor and slice of life.
And even once the serieus stuff kicks in there's still quite some Slice of life & humor at various points.
Sadly you can't refund a game anymore once you past the 2 hours mark.
My main issue with CLANNAD is it just felt like it was hitting every anime trope it could. Which, I guess if you are into that style of anime, that's great, but for me personally it takes away from the world building and makes it hard for me to care about any of the characters since they all just feel like tropes.
Also slightly off topic, but just to give you an idea of what I like, my favorite VN's have been Ever17, Tsukihime, STEINS;GATE and Chaos;HEAd, and of course I love stuff like 999 and Phoenix Wright if you wish to include those hahaha. But yea, I think what I like tends to be a bit more... non generic? I like my edgy stuff hahaha.
