Bows & arrows + crowsbows are coming after the player model & animation update. Just be patient and you'll have them sometimes in the September, October, or November timeframe. It's all up to when this dungeons & the character update releases.

will the new api make it easier to mod. will i have to lurn code? i know you dont probly care about my ideas but if you could make a mod maker for people to use that would be cool kind of like mcrator but for riseing world. you could call it

The new Java API is a replacement for the lua api which is not as powerful and not documented very well. The JAVA API will offer the same level of modding in Minecraft (as the API expands to include more features) and will auto-generate documentation so it should be easy to maintain as changes occur. Knowledge of computer programming is still going to be required in order to use it. I took a peek at Mcreator and it looks like a very useful tool but I doubt if something like this will be designed in-house. But when the API comes out, I can imagine someone might come out with a similar tool. You should go over to forums.rising-world.net and make a suggestion under the mods category. :)

I imagine we will eventually. There was some discussion on the forums about archaeology and collecting bones to re-assemble for like museum displays and whatnot. I'm not sure how much of that was just crazy talk amongst ourselves and what was officially said. Its been about two weeks now since the anouncement. I wonder how long this one will take. I'm under the impression that its not something that will take crazy long and is almost ready... I hope

I is hyper excited!!!

I just wanted to drop a line and say thank you for all the work you've been doing on this game even though I haven't even played it yet! Ha, it's been sitting in my library since I purchased it, except for jumping in for a few minutes to look around, but that's about to change. I found RW right after it came onto early access and figured I'd wait a bit. It's really really cool to see dev pumping out updates and moving along at a nice clip after being disappointed with so many others. I've been itching for a good survival builder again ever since it became apparent that Wurm Unlimited's code was just too old to work with and make the game any better or different than the MMO version that I so loved. So thank you again for being awesome, dedicated devs. Keep up the good work!

I'm now hoping that it'll be ready within the next three days because they're my days off. I could spend most of my time bug seeking & such that we'd really see what dungeons are like. If not the next three days, then I wish Red51 the best of luck to keep pushing forward with the dungeons with whatever is left needed on it.

I don't remember seeing anything on the forum. A blue bar ontop the forum always appears whenever an update is about to roll out.

othung might be a typo of "nothing". I could be wrong, yet English isn't the first language to people also, so keep that in mind. WHo knows, but if it's out this week, awesome. If not, then hope more features finds its way into the update. Next week works fine also, yet may have less time. Who knows.
