Torchlit Streetlights/pole mounted lights
I noticed the Streetlight in the construction elements. I'm mostly avoiding all modern electrical stuff in my worlds and I noticed that the streetlight model could also be used with a candle type source of light. That was common in the medieval era and it would be an easy model to add by copying it and putting a candle in rather than a light bulb. Mainly asking for performance reasons as it wouldn't be too hard to create that within game either. Could have a lot of streetlights out there in some cities.

Medieval era was 476 AD to 1400-1450 AD, lanterns with glass windows didn't start until 1588.

A medieval streetlight would be something more like this, or a wall mounted one would have a raincover and a reflective metal focusing bowl behind it.

Maybe medieval is the wrong word, though I certainly meant it. But basically prior to the modern electric era is all I was going for. I also thought I could just hang lanterns on poles to get the same effect. The candle in the game now is very dim, but I suppose that would be realistic for the type of lights I'm thinking.

Ahh okay, got you. Actually since the glass on the streetlamp model is frosted it would just be a matter of changing the light color, etc. to match the torch and increase the brightness and that would give the gas streetlamp effect you're looking for.
