Now it seem we need to find the iron, is it by mining? Been digging for a while.

look in caves and the sides of mountains, there will be an orange/rust color.

sweet, now I need to find it.

what are you using for light source? I tried normal torch it wont stick in the cave, I use garden torch which work.

Use the garden torch to start, it stands alone and only needs sticks to make. For smaller torches, you need a torch holder and for those you need stone before, but with update you may need iron that has been smelted.
only the iron and copper look like the picture, coal is black and the silver and aluminium and almost the same color as the rocks and is very hard to see.

i've been digging for awhile now too and outside of floating ores/caves i havent found any by actually digging. am i just having really bad luck or are they supposed to just be on exposed surfaces?

I've only found ore on exposed surfaces, so far, digging has gained me nothing but rock otherwise.

I found some ore and loaded it into the furnace... But how do I get that furnace to start, nothing happens here?

Did you find coal, I did, but I haven't tried the furnace yet. Maybe it needs the coal to burn?

Yes I found some coal but there is no place to put it. There are two "doors" where I think it should go but those won't open...

Just use the menu and select switch on. If you have coal it seems it just starts.

Thanks that worked!!! I pressed F and then I could turn it on...
So lets make my first iron...

Strange... I put in some iron-ore and it changed shape and color after a few minutes... But when I took it out it was aluminium-ore?

Put it in the furnace again and now it's aluminium-ingot... Not what I wanted...

And now it's gone from my inventory.... I only have my axe and some food left, everything else has disappeared??? Hmmm....

there is a few bugs here and there, also you dont need coal to start the furnace yet cos it hasnt been implemented yet. Most ores can be found in Caves but the more rare the ore the deeper you have to go

having trouble finding Silver, Aluminum and Copper
and the Mithril Ore is Green in colour

Well just to let you guys know.

I did find iron ingot and that by almost falling into an already made hole, inside I carefully went down with a torch and found tons of metal deposit including copper ,cobalt, and coal.

Tried the furnace melted the precious metals and stored into my chest for later usage.



NOTE:Torch light is not very effective to find the metals, need to build a flashlight to have a brighter light and actually see deposit

use "L" to light up the caves
