Fixing a Broken Leg
I recently fell into a hole and broke my leg. It does not seem to affect my person, but I was wondering if there is a way to fix it. I've been looking for advice about this, but some people have said no fixes exist or repair takes time.
Anyone know more about this?

as far as i know, there's no way to fix it. This is something which will be worked into the game at a later date, so no need to worry.

Thanks! Do you know if having a broken leg affects your character, though?

You can change it in the database with an sql editor :)

Okay, I thought not. It would be neat to craft bandages as an additional way to recover health.

if you want to remove the broken leg - you can die :) then it is away again - bad about this is - that you currently cannot loot your dead body - seem to be a bug - same as you cannot hide killed animals - probably will be fixed with the coming update

14 days to heal, eh? Hmm....I guess like Rimworld the player should be forced to 'sleep' on hospital beds to speed up the curing. Even using plants from the environment to heal the pain, even making cream. I guess Red has a way to heal broken legs.

Haa! Healing a broken leg by dying. it sounds so goofy! It also heals broken neck, broken skull, broken back and broken ankle. haa!

Lol, I know. Production should provide bandaging or, like ArcticKitsu said, make herbal remedies.

@ ArcticKitsu - I completely agree with you there Friend sleeping on special beds would be interesting, and there could be some kind of upgrade system whereby you begin really basic healing, like, 7 days on the bed, but every time you upgrade, it takes off healing time, until you actually get buffs late game (just because you'll need them really badly. haa!)

@SeumGee - Haa! I'm sure that they will Friend. They just want to bring us the biomes and things first. The plants are there in a basic way aren't they (bushes which you could use the leaves of and flowers which could be put into tonics and such.) but can you imagine the variety of healing options once biomes are completely implemented? it'll be huge! Haa!

I didn't realize they were going to be making biomes, but that does sound awesome! I suppose this means we'll have access to water sources for the first time as well, right? I know hydration can come from eating fruits like watermelon and tomatoes, but it'd be great to have aquatic environments to get freshwater and fish food.

People tend to choose to simply die instead of struggling to deal with tending to their thirst & food needs. There needs to be a penalty for choosing to die so that it becomes more tedious. Star Wars Galaxies had the right idea by blacking out a portion of your health & such with you needing a player doctor to cure it. Even highly-skilled NPCs.

I hope Red is considering adding hot springs to also cure any ailments one might have, both in a North American & Japanese theme to it. Of course with it taking about 2 minutes time, or so. If not that, then add in a random ingredient to insta-heal your character's health when in these hotsprings.

Can't wait to see what's next for the biomes....Still waiting on Red to tackle the ore update.
