Mapper mod?

I run a minecraft server and one thing I would really love to have in this game too is a mapper function. I'm no programmer and don't have a clue if it's possible or not but, like the mapper "overviewer" I'm using, where you can load it up in a browser, and zoom using google maps. That would be awesome. :)

I've been recommending this to Red quite loudly, possibly obnoxiously. Would be awesome if he could connect that Minecraft Forge Overview map (or similar) to their own computer object in the game that can be viewed both in the game & outside in a web browser. You eventually shall need to see the world around you.
