However, the worst thing that could happen is a botched store page update, resulting in a loss of worlds or blueprints oO
The way we originally set up the new version (being installed in a subfolder, so the user can still play the Java version at any time without having to switch beta branches again) now makes things quite complicated unfortunately.
We definitely some extra time for testing. Changing the depot structure (moving the new version out of its subfolder) could cause a lot of trouble, so we really have to make sure that nothing breaks or gets lost ^^
But we also have to update the Java version and the new version, so they will still be capable of locating their worlds & blueprint files after changing the folder structures (losing worlds would be the worst case scenario, so we have to avoid that at all cost).
I really wanted to get the store page update done before Christmas, but the recent update took a bit longer than expected. Trying to get the store page update still ready during the holidays would be a nightmare (and honestly I doubt that this really makes a huge difference).
However, it was still important for us to get the actual update ready, so the delay of the store page update has no negative impact on the exising community ^^ We're now still working on hotfixes (there are a few smaller remaining issues, but we also want to incorporate some of the feedback we got after the update). Probably we'll release 1-3 hotfixes until we focus on the store page update, which will then happen in early January (but this will not add any new content, it's really just a technical update, so for the existing community, it's not that relevant) ;)
