Tools don't need the anvil to be placed to create
I just noticed that when making the basic tools like pickaxe and axe that I didn't need to have the anvil placed in the area to create them. I had it in inventory still but was able to make the tools. Think it used to be needed to placed in the area.

I also do not see a skinning knife anymore, just the primitive skinning knife. Wasn't there a knife or two available with the regular workbench?

These tools never required the anvil, but honestly that doesn't make much sense... thanks for bringing this to my attention, I will change that with the next hotfix :)

About the knife, the only other knife is the modern combat knife (which only becomes available with the modern workbench)... but a medieval-style hunting knife is on our to do list (it would fill the gap between the primitive and modern knife) ^^

The tools do need the anvil to unlock them, so that's new and probably where it got missed. If you need it to unlock them, then it should be placed. The primitive knife works, just though there was another one. Sounds good. Thanks.

Another one I just noticed is that shouldn't the canopy shelters need cloth to be built. Shouldn't be available till cloth is discovered.

It could be animal skin on the first canopy shelter then needing cloth for the camouflage one.

I think leather recipes need the tanning rack first to discover recipes that need leather. Basically, if a recipe has to be unlocked by something, that unlocking item should be included in the recipe for the object. These are the only two I've noticed so far, but might be more. Haven't unlocked everything yet.

But that would be a good idea to separate them out. The leather one could be more durable than the cloth one.

I must admit that the canopy shelters are a bit weird now... they're supposed to be available at the very beginning of the game (that's why they get unlocked with the primitive workbench already), but requiring cloth (or leather) contradicts this somewhat... probably it would be better if we had a more primitive canopy which just consists of sticks and leaves (similar to the primitive shelter). I will put this on our to do list ;)

That makes sense. A good place to get out of the rain some without having to sleep in the tent would help with getting going. A few have asked for some kind of primitive shelter to make. Not sure what that would look like but this might have potential for that.

I was one of the people who mentioned this. I think this would be pretty good to fit that suggestion, especially if you could kind of chain two or three next to each other. Though I guess we could just place them side by side, no need to actually snap together. :)
