Regrowing Grass?
What's the method to restore a surface with flat green grass after using a hoe in areas that left a plain dirt surface? If no method, will some tool (like a fertizer bin on wheels) be available to restore the green grass?

You can't regrow grass yet but I've read here somewhere that the Dev's are working on that. Grass seeds or even grassblocks...
Someday it will be added to the game... Can't wait because I also have a lot to clean up... :)

Yep. I'd like to see seeds that i) turn the ground green (or a color) and then ii) turn into tall grass / foliage of that type.

Different grass types (e.g. dry grass, weed etc) are implemented, they will be available with the biome update ;) We are also working on grass replanting, can't say for sure when it's ready, but it won't take too long

You can cheat your grass back:
item ore 64 2 will give you green chunks which you can then drop into the areas you want grass. They are not perfect, and only so much the scythe can do on them.

Is there any possibility of a motor mower? Cutting the grass with a scythe is so 18th century.

If it had a hopper the same as the farming sim one, we could dump the cut grass where we want new grass to grow and use a rake to smooth it over the area we want to cover. That would solve the problem of getting grass seeds.

Another by product of this would be to pile the cut grass in a certain area where it would slowly mulch and attract cows, sheep, goats and other farm animals we could then build a fence around to pen in. We'd then have the makings for farming animals.

Yes, it's planned in the long term :) But only once our new playermodel is ready (so we have appropriate animations^^)
