"one second i was wandering around as i please, then..yaaaa! Players in my face for me wool! yiiikees!" haa haaa!
I have a lot of sheep near me but I really do not want to go round killing them just to make a pair of itchy drawers. When shearing comes in, then I might be interested. I think a good crop to grow would be cotton or flax. Then, with a spinning wheel as a crafting station, I could get thread, to weave on the loom to make non-itchy drawers.
The only thing I seen to craft with wool so far is cloth and a tent. No clothing/armor yet unless I am missing something
EDIT: I see things have changed. Wool is indeed required. I am lucky I made my bed before the update, then. Otherwise I would have had to buck up and "harvest" a couple.
