Toolbar gone on survival

My top right toolbar is no longer displayed. I am in survival mode. typing "hud" doesnt fix this". Anyone know how to fix it?

You can toggle the toolbar in your settings menu. Just go to Settings -> Miscellaneous and check the "Show Toolbar" box (below "Creative mode settings"). Save the changes and the toolbar should be visible again ;)

Is there any option to move the toolbar to the bottom center and to keep it from auto vanishing?

Unfortunately that's not possible at the moment, but we can at least add an option to prevent if from fading out.
Being able to change the position of the toolbar is a little bit more complicated, since this would require the other gui elements to adapt accordingly (for example, when moving the toolbar to the bottom left, it would be necessary to move the healthbar to the top right). However, it's still problematic when it comes to the creative toolbar, since this one is much bigger than the regular inventory quickslots...

I understand. My main issue with the toolbar fading is that i have to use the scrollwheel once to get the toolbar to display then a second time to acutally select an item. That's not normal behavior in any other game that I'm aware of where the action of the scrollwheel is instantaneous.

Being able to asjust the mouse wheel direction for selecting items in the toolbar would be helpful.

Oh, that's true too. I think its backwards from Minecraft currently. Anyways, I personally think that any item changing using a scroll wheel should be accompanied by a vertical tool bar but that's just me.
