Batch file to start and run server???
Is there a batch file and text script to run your dedicated server. SteamCMDGUI will not run the srcds exe.!

Yes, there is a batch file for windows and two start scripts for linux (basic start script + screen startscript) in the server directory.
It's recommendable to use the start scripts instead of the exe (the exe is just there so ppl can start the server from the Steam client, if desired) ;)

They kind of suck with the instructions to build a server . Most of the information is 2014 and 2015 and is np longer correct . Due to updates amd changes. Some of my stramer friends and mod developers agreed with me that it needs to be updated and fixed.

Make sure to forward all required ports (range serverport-1 to serverport+4 TCP and UDP). I.e. when using port 4255 (default), you have to forward ports 4254, 4255, 4256, 4257, 4258 and 4259.

You mean the instructions to host a RW server? It's basically the same like setting up any other server.
But if you just want to play with some friends, you can use the "Play with friends" option in the game, it does not require any additional steps ;)

The only major change regarding server hosting was done in February (when we got rid of our hive, so from this point on, the server files were only available via Steam). However, we set up a new topic back then containing all required information about hosting a server: https://forum.rising-world.net/thread/8075-dedicated-server-setup/

I use steamcmd with steamcmdgui . I allows you to also run servers with srcds exe. but since there are no standard maps to choose it will not run Rising World . Thus batch files.
