Can't sleep in multiplayer? and why wont console command show when i press the button?

So im playing with friends but it is on same internet, but can we sleep on multiplayer to set a spawn point? if not then how do i set a spawnpoint near my house?? i need to know where my house is if im planing on mining and such.. console command wont show when i press the button.

i think all players need a bed or a shelter to skip night i think

and all must sleep to skip other wise the night not going to anyway

you can build a quick starter tent under inventory or you can use the command setspawn in command console to set the spawn point and you can't actually sleep unless it is night but laying in the bed for a min till the dark closes far as it can then getting up sets spawn point also if it is day still i am told

Sleeping in a bed, tent or shelter updates your spawn position. This also works in multiplayer, it's sufficient if you sleep in the bed/tent/shelter for a brief moment. However, if you want to skip night, all players (who are connected to the server) have to sleep in a bed, tent or shelter, as mentioned by @killer ;)

I haven't been able to sleep playing as a duo yet, we have tried but then i guess it's just haven't been night out(?) :)
