Equipment slots
What all can be put into the Equipment slots in the UI? I'm a little confused about this as it doesn't hold armor, weapons, etc. as I originally thought it would so I'm genuinely curious what is supposed to go there. This is not a sarcastic comment or meant to be anything against the game, I'm just confused is all.

Basically equipment slots are used for items which are accessible via hotkey, i.e. compasses (default key: K), clocks (O) or the map (M), as mentioned by @PG and @Jon. Other items, like tools or weapons, can be placed in the hotbar instead. Ammo goes into the red ammo slots, and clothing/armor is put on the character directly (on the left) ;)

So far, your compass and your clock go there.

Ok, thank you and sorry for taking so long to answer. I was hoping we could put torches or some sort of light there so we could navigate caves a little easier. So you would just have a little light source while you had an axe in your hand, for example. I remember being able to just put torches on the wall then pick them up when you were done mining and move to a new spot, but it looks like the player has to make holders for every torch. Oh well, still a lovely game I really enjoy playing so thank you for clear answer.:pleased:

@Emotional Casio: If you use a lamp-helmet you have a free hand for other tools. With this modern lamp you can also see the ores much better. Like in real life is the light of torch less good than the light of a modern lamp and you cant see all ores good with the torch.

Well you can make holders, yes. Or you can use the garden torch ..
Like Modo said, use the yellow helmet with lights, if you have the materials for it. That's a little hard to make in the beginning though.

I hop on to this game every once in a great while to see what changes have been made because development is incredibly slow for this game. I don't have a problem with the pace, let me state that first. I wish more developers would take more time to create survival/crafting games instead of seemingly looking to cash in as fast as possible, like Creativerse. The problem is, when new stuff is added, it isn't really highlighted unless you go through months of updates which is fine to expect, because normal players who play on a much more devoted time line then I myself do, are expected to do just that with any game they play. Updates are made, it's your job as the player to read them, I do get that. But for someone like me who hops in every once in a while, it can be a bit much. So just flat-out asking what this does or what this is for, or doing a search for it via Google, through the Steam community tied to the game or going directly to the dev's website.

I tried doing a search for this, but looking up "Rising World Equipment" is a little too vague and too much junk comes up. (Like some stupid argument about Samurai armor that was just irritating to read) I use garden torches to light my way back to my base for right now, because it is too easy to get lost for me when I head out looking for stone and other mining things. I live right on the edge of the grass and the beach/coast near an ocean because this is my first time actually seeing an entire ocean in this game and, since I am a nerd, I am *very* excited to try out fishing when I can.

Sorry for rambling on, just excited to get back into it although I don't understand everything I am looking at so far. Anyways, thank you for patience and answers. I will try to figure out how to make this helmet, the caves freak me out so I just fly through them all anyways.

@Emotional Casio
I play often Multiplayer. If i have a question i ususlly ask other players. Usual they can help. Probably thats the most easy way to get knowledge about RW-things. If you prefer playing Single Player you could go only in MP-server, when you have a question. I would not have a problem to answer a visitor.

I hate people, so I really prefer to be by myself and look things up when it gets confusing. Just couldn't look up "Equipment" because it was too vague for Google lol Thank you though.
