how do you find or make sulfer

I have looked everywhere and can't find gold or sulfer

Gold is very deep under-ground. You will have to send a lot of time mining for it. I don't remember if sulfer is above or on the level as gold.

Sulfur can be found in dungeons and very deep underground. I found mine at around 600 or so. An ore detector helps a lot......that is, unless you are trying to find gold to make one, then it is a bit of a "Catch 22". Start looking for gold around the 2 - 300 level. Dungeon chests will also have gold on occasion. You can check your depth by pressing the F3 key.

Once you get down to the level where sulfer & mithril can be found [300+], there is usually a lot of it ... I've found gold recently about 150 down. I have never found aluminum by mining, only at the surface.

Edit: - After thought:

RW is not a static map where resources are at specific places tied to coordinates. The map grows with each individual game. When I mine, I just follow a straight line using stairs as a guide. Eventually, I'll find resources, caverns, and dugeons to explore.

update i did find gold and sulfur lower, but not mithril

I'we found mithril ore in deep undeground. Go down undeground about -400 and go forvard. You found mithril ore every 100-200 meters. Use minidrill for mining.
