[Possible Bug] Horse disappeared

Hello all, good evening.
Well, to begin i dont know if it was a bug or something so i came here to report this and if im posting in the wrong section forgive me =).
Back to the topic, im currently building a greenhouse and this takes a lot of wood, so to be faster, i got a horse to go futher in the map to get more trees, i came back to my house, parked my horse in front of a pole and exited the game using the "back to menu" and "Exit" and shutdown my PC, came back after a while and BAM, my horse was not there anymore. I dont know if he teleported or just vanished, i was looking for him now but since the region where i live has some horses i got another and continued my adventures.
Im loving this game so far, having a lot of fun since Minecraft, cant wait for this game to be completed with all the stuff promised, so to contribute with the game im reporting this, maybe im not alone in this ship.

Uptade: Found my horse a bit too far from my house, dont know how he stopped here because i really parked him in the pole in front of my house lel.

Hmm... did you remove the saddle from the horse? If you keep the saddle on the horse, the horse won't move anymore, while there is a chance it wanders off if you remove the saddle ;)

Nope, i left him as he is now, with saddle, maybe was just a rare weird glitch.

I am thinking maybe you quit the game too fast and it didn't save the position of the horse to the world database :/

Yeah... I was thinking the same, but neverless, my problem now is find sand, all i get is forest and snow areas but no sand kilometers away from my home xD, looks like had a bad luck in this seed when i brought the game 2 days ago hehe.

hmm have you searched in all directions? usually there is at least one biome of each if you go say 2000 blocks in each direction

To help you search quicker. Hit the F2 button for fly mode. After you find what you looking for press F2 again to disable fly mode. (disable close to ground or fall to your death)

Yep, i made a compass/map and went all directions besides east (because there is a large lake right next to my house in that direction where i though was an ocean, but no beach there). Actually i made a giant square with kilometers long in all directions, went with my horse, found 2 shacks on the way, Tundras, Snow (i can decorate my home at christmas now hehe), Forest, bears, near-deaths but no sand. Im trying to not use any command console or F2 (i disabled it all) to be more realistic as possible.
Im not complaining or anything, actually im finding this pretty fun, but i find weird as well a biome so simple as a desert not showing in, i was testing this game on a pirate version and there i had a desert not too far from my house, but here i really had a bad luck hehe.
Well, ill keep searching for it, my greenhouse needs a lot of glass.
