How to forge steel?
Which crafting station is used to obtain steel?

Thanks!

You have to build a primitive smelter out of stone (its in player crafting), do 3 batches of 8 iron for 24 iron ingots to make an anvil, after ya do the anvil work on making the biggest smelter so you can do 64 ores at a time.

You also need Coal for fuel

wood works too but doesn't burn as long

There is no actual steel in the game. If you're referring to the steel tools in the advanced tech bench, the actual metal is mithril, which is smelted the same as all other ores. Unfortunately, mithril is only found very deep.

it depends on the seed, mitheral can sometimes be found in dungeons closer to the surface

Technically just Iron with carbon removed. The coal is there to burn not actually needed. :)

I don't get Mithril. It's fictional. With everything else in the game so far being believable, why introduce something fake, false, fictional?

Is your world earth? Or a fictional world created from a seed that also includes dungeons (that will eventually have ghosts and skeletons) and hell - cause thats real, right? ;)

It does however seem strange that there is just mithril though.

The last part of your comment, yes, Hell is real. And good point about dungeons, they're already in the game so it's already breeched the world of the fantastical. :-)

Is Hell Real? I hope, from the bottom of my heart, that this is a joke, because it would be sad to imagine that in the XXI century, there are video game players with this type of superstition. lol :steammocking:

Well, Red51 did want to loosely experiment with a 'fantasy biome', a posting I can no longer find for how old it is. Zfoxfire also wanted to find the sourcing, yet it's somewhere back in 2015 around the 5th or 20th page......

I honestly wouldn't mind having a proper realistic 'fantasy biome' to have fun with, and it would explain the addition of Mithril..... Just as long as it's Dragon's Dogma serious we can have fun with fantasy elements. We're to have zombie dogs in Hell, skeletons in dungeons..... Shall be a grand time :steamhappy:

Allow me to display those trophies up in a glass display case, & etc.

Referring to people's strong beliefs about things beyond gaming, as superstition, is being intentionally hurtful.

Sorry if I caused any trouble it was not my intention to.

I meant by digging down through the world you get to hell my wording was a bit off.

Oh, I see, I'm sorry then, language difference thing. Yes, I believe there are planes of existence even science is beginning to acknowlege 'may' exist. Digging down on Earth is just going to get you hot feet. :-)

I honestly thought you were joking. I did not think you would be offending.

Just as you find it natural to believe in something based on faith, there are people like me, atheists, and sometimes we forget that people outside our circles believe in different things.

I think the best thing is to avoid politics and religion, and focus on video games.
