Importing Blueprints
Heya,

maybe someone can help me. I tried to import some blueprints from the RW-forum (thanks for everyone uploading their stuff - awesome!).

However i simply copy the blueprint in the same folder as my own blueprints are.

But when i am ingame i can choose only from my own blueprints, not from the imported one - it just doesn´t show up.

Is there maybe something else i have to consider?

I asked someone else to try it and for him it worked fine. But i tried the first time to import the blueprints and maybe (probably) i did something wrong.

Someone has an idea maybe?

I went and gave it a try. Like you, I placed it in my Blueprints folder but it showed up just fine. Have you changed your file structure in some way ? Do you see the blueprint in the folder with the rest of your blueprints when you open the actual folder ?

Are you looking under a certain blueprint category in the game? Like when you make one, and have to put it into a group? Maybe you’re just looking in the wrong group?

I go to the. Usual blueprints folder, see several subfolders of those i did myself and copy the external blueprint into one of them.

Then i go ingame and see all of my own ones but not the external.

I didn't change the structure. The only thing different is the installation path. It's, due to hdd space reasons, different to regular.
But this is my standard setting for rising world.

I have tested this too and it works fine. Played around with it as well you can even put folders within folders and it still picks them up.

If you had these folders {Blueprints {Furniture {Chair} } }

For example up the top of the page it would say
* which shows all in the blueprints folder and any folders within this ie blueprints and furniture and chair
furniture which shows all in the furniture folder
furniture - chair which shows all blueprints in the folder chair which is in the folder furniture

One thing to note is when looking at "furniture" it does not show items from "chair" you have to look at "furniture - chair"

Cut out the blueprints and then paste them into your folder. do not copy
I downloaded several blueprints and just had to copy into one of my folders: furniture, fences, keyboards, decoration.

But I have not downloaded blueprints since the last update.

Just as a thought copy and paste your blueprints folder somewhere safe.

Then delete the original folder.

Create a new blueprints folder and just paste in a downloaded blueprint does it show up then?

Ill try tomorrow when home. Good idea to find the cause of this issue

could you post a screenshot of the folder? This is very odd.. I still believe this might be an extension issue or perhaps a file permissions issue. The game will not recognize anything other than folders and .blueprint files. You can open file options and disable "hide file extensions for known types"

alright, seems using other people´s blueprints is not working for me - regardless what i do.

thanks for all the support - but i decided that selfmade things are more work but in the end the more satisfying way to do something.

So i decided to try on my own pirate boat. If interested i can later on upload the blueprint. I will do it in steps anyways so someone could use the corpus and equip it freely - or use the full boat.

Ill post a screenshot here later.

Here is a screenshot of the corpus.

Though im struggling to fill the hull with planks. Especially the front is driving me crazy :)

Ill take a break and try again another time. Im sure with patience there is a solution.
